Aviation Pieces

In 2015, we worked on project building furniture from aviation components for Ciara O’Toole branded as ‘Amelia’, following this project other sources of aviation hardware became available and we aim to provide beautiful furniture and sculptural items from the amazing engineering assets in aircraft.

Our new pieces will include desks, mirrors, lamps and sculptural items as availability of the components continues. These items are unique, limited, signed and numbered.

Special commissions are welcome.

Case Studies

Turbine Mirror

This mirror is created from a Boeing 707 internal engine turbine from the 1980's. We have added a mirror polished aluminium centre and an outer LED halo, circa. 70cm diameter.

Gavan Floor Light

Govan are a pair of lights made from both aviation bases and marine bulkhead light cages. The lights are from Glasgow company JG Guthrie and Shane found them discarded in Drogheda, the base pieces are titanium turbine castings from the APU or Auxiliary Power Unit which gives power if the engines fail, or other situations most people don't want to think about, but it is good to have them on an aircraft. Shane is giving them a new life as a floor light, the base keeps it on the ground after many years of flying. The name Govan is the industrial town on the Clyde known for shipbuilding so an appropriate name for an industry style light.
