*Architects Choice Awards 2024: Best Lighting Product Commended – Laser Tube.

Laser Tube involves the repurposing of a CO² laser tube which is debunked after 10,000 hours of use. Now it’s use is to provide a linear light over desks, tables and countertops. It is diffused by a piece of curved frosted acrylic which can be slid radially on 3 brass rings to avoid glare. The bronze tube on the right houses the transformer and the connector. The triangular copper section ceiling rose with insulative cardboard ceiling plate finishes off this adjustable sophisticated repurposing project which has just won the Architects Choice Awards 2024 for the Commended Best Lighting Product.
